Healthy Fat Fudge

Dubbed “Healthy Fat Fudge” in our family…its essentially a politcally correct way to get your butter fix. Yes you can use coconut oil OR butter…I’m going to run through options with you, but this healthy fat-centric, refined sugar free fudge is a decadent treat to have in your recipe arsenal. As the case with most of my recipes, this one is very customizable for what you’ve got on hand or what your families dietary needs are. The base “formula” stays the same, and you get to tweak it how you want. In the photo below I was admittedly rushing to eat it and it was still a little soft. Do you blame me? Lets start with the recipe card for you, then I’m going to run through three different versions I did. Of course you can do any variation you want…but here is some ideas to spark your brain. Variation number #1, above- Fully Vegan- Coconut oil, Maple Syrup, No Nut butter, topped with wide coconut shreds. Variation #2 above- Butter, Honey, Peanut Butter, Sprinkle of Real Salt on Top (Oh bebe!) Variation #3 above- Butter, Honey, Topped with Roasted hazelnuts- yum! What I love about this is how satiating it is. Its rich and filling. Its super customizable. We’ve been making this for about 7 years now…I’m still not tired of it!
