Basic Beginner pancakes for Kids

Ingredients
  

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk non dairy milk if needed
  • 2 tablespoons olive or sunflower oil sub melted butter/coconut oil
  • 1 ¼ cup all purpose flour sub whole wheat/pastry flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • Pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • Beat together eggs, milk and oil.
  • Add flour on top of wet, dont mix it in yet.
  • Add sugar, baking soda and salt on top of flour pile, mix gently into the flour with spoon/your finger.
  • Gently mix the dry ingredients into the wet.
  • Heat a griddle or frying pan to medium heat. Add butter or oil to grease.
  • Spoon 2 tablespoon size dollops of batter onto the hot pan, flip with tiny bubbles form around edges.
  • When pancakes spring back when gently pressed, they are ready to take off the pan.
  • Serve with maple syrup, jam, yogurt, fruit, whatever your heart desires!
