Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft butter or coconut oil
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Pull out the good stuff like raw cacao if you can!
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup nut butter optional
  • Toppings/add ins like shredded coconut, dried fruit, nuts

Instructions

  • Measure your butter/coconut oil, cocoa, honey/maple syrup, salt, vanilla and optional nut butter together in the bowl of a stand mixer or use an electric hand mixer to mix it all up. You can do it by hand, but cocoa powder can be stubborn.
  • If you want to mix things into the fudge, add em in.
  • Line a pie plate or loaf pan with parchment, wax paper or foil.
  • Scoop your fudge in and smooth it down.
  • My favourite time to add things into the fudge is at this point, press them into the top of the fudge.
  • Chill in freezer at least an hour, until firm, or if youre patient, in the fridge for more hours.
  • When ready to eat, cut it up up into 1 inch squares, and move to a container with a lid or cover the pan with foil/plastic wrap.
  • Store in the fridge or freezer and enjoy!
