Ingredients

  • 1 bunch kale about 10-12 cups
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder, smoked paprika, or other spices

Instructions

  • Strip kale from stems and rip into 2-3 inch pieces. Keep them all roughly the same size.
  • Massage the kale and oil together in a large bowl.
  • Heat air fryer to 350°F.
  • Add the salt, garlic powder, and nutritional yeast. Mix well!
  • Lay out on the air fryer basket and spread out in a single layer. Cook until the edges are starting to brown. Be careful…it only takes 5-6 minutes and some varieties of kale cook faster than others!
  • Take out of air fryer and let cool on a cookie sheet…they will continue to crisp slightly as they cool. Transfer to bowl after cooled.

Notes

  • Try out different seasonings such as ranch mix or taco seasoning.
  • If using grated Parmesan as seasoning, toss with the kale immediately after removing from the air fryer.
