Blackberry Glazed Spare Ribs

Using blackberry glaze on pork spare ribs rivals any barbecue sauce. The sweet glaze creates the perfect crust in the oven.

Preheat oven to 300°F.
Lay out ribs in pan, making sure separate cuts are not overlapping.
Sprinkle salt over length of ribs, no more than a teaspoon per rack.
Pour blackberry glaze over salted ribs and spread evenly with basting brush.
Place in oven for 50-60 minutes, checking periodically.
After an hour pull ribs out and reglaze with blackberry to moisten and make sure they don't dry out.
Keep in oven for another 45 minutes and add another layer of glaze if drying out.
For the last 5 minutes, broil on low temperature to crust glaze a bit.
Pull from oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes.
If desired, add another layer of glaze before serving.
- This method will work with any sort of sweet, jam-type glaze.
