Ingredients

  • 3 large bananas or 4 smaller ones
  • 2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 2 ½ cups kefir or yoghurt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional for extra sweetness

Instructions

  • Peel bananas and add all ingredients to your blender. Careful as it should get close to the top of your Vitamix or larger blender container.
  • Starting off on the slowest speed, allow ingredients to gently mix together with lid on.
  • Turn off and check fill level of smoothie. If it is a tad too full with lid on, pour some into a small cup and return lid.
  • Slowly increase the speed another level or two making sure it is not too fast but enough to macerate the solid ingredients.
  • After the smoothie is done, slowly take off the lid and pour into jars/cups and drink it while it's freshly blended.

Notes

  • This will make 4 hearty servings or go with 6-8 for smaller tummies.
  • Feel free to add protein powder or collagen for an extra boost.
  • Use any type of milk and dairy here, including goat milk.
  • Make sure you have a very large blender, or split the recipe in half.
