- 1 ½ - 2 cups ice
- 2 limes, juiced about 1 ½ oz
- ½ oz honey
- ½ oz hot water
- 3 oz white tequila
- 2 oz Cointreau
In a jar (i used a pint and a half jar) add 1 cup of ice. Squeeze in your limes, adding the rinds if you like a touch of bitters in your drink.
Dissolve honey in warm water and add to jar.
Measure in your tequila and Cointreau.
Add a leakproof lid and shake well for 10-20 seconds.
In two cocktail glasses add a fat ¼ cup of ice and pour the margarita, using the jar lid to hold back the solids.
- Try serving in pint jars, splitting the marg over ice, and topping with soda water or sparkling water.
- Add more ice and use a small blender to make frozen margaritas.
- You can salt the rims of the glasses first if you like.
