- 3 large bananas or 4 smaller ones
- 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
- 2 ½ cups kefir
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon honey optional
Peel bananas. Slice strawberries if desired/if using fresh.
Add all ingredients to a blender jar. Careful as it should get close to the top of your Vitamix or larger blender container.
Starting off on the slowest level, allow ingredients to gently mix together with lid on.
Turn off and check level of smoothie. If it is a tad too full with lid on, pour some into a small cup and return lid.
Slowly increase the speed another level or two making sure it is not too fast but enough to macerate the solid ingredients.
Serve and enjoy!
- Using frozen fruit is personal preference. It will change the thickness of your smoothie.
- I don't recommend using ALL frozen fruit, as it might be too much for the blender to work with.
