Strawberry Banana Kefir Smoothie

Whether a pick me up or a special treat, a strawberry banana kefir smoothie is creamy and delicious. Kids and adults will all enjoy this!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 large bananas or 4 smaller ones
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 2 ½ cups kefir
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional

Instructions
 

  • Peel bananas. Slice strawberries if desired/if using fresh.
  • Add all ingredients to a blender jar. Careful as it should get close to the top of your Vitamix or larger blender container.
  • Starting off on the slowest level, allow ingredients to gently mix together with lid on.
  • Turn off and check level of smoothie. If it is a tad too full with lid on, pour some into a small cup and return lid.
  • Slowly increase the speed another level or two making sure it is not too fast but enough to macerate the solid ingredients.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Using frozen fruit is personal preference. It will change the thickness of your smoothie.
  • I don't recommend using ALL frozen fruit, as it might be too much for the blender to work with.
