If you like my ranch dip mix, I cant wait for you to try this!! You’ll notice it's a similar framework: just mayo, sour cream, and spice mix. I don't lick many spoons when cooking…but I lick the spoon when I mix up a jar of this!
You could use whatever taco seasoning mix you have on hand...or try mine which we love!
I love using stainless steel dishes. They are great for mixing, serving, and eating. They also wash super well and I don't have to worry about anyone breaking them. I also don't need to worry about replacements matching since they are simple. If any walk away I can easily get more and still have a full set.
Taco Dip
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream or thick yogurt
- 2 Tablespoons taco seasoning
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir well.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Notes
- If you want a thinner dressing, thin with some milk or use buttermilk instead of sour cream/yogurt. If you feel it could use a little more tang as a salad dressing add 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or more, to taste) and this will also help thin it out.
- This is SO GOOD as a taco salad dressing!! Use as a chip or veggie dip, drizzle on tacos or burritos. Try it on coleslaw…the options are endless!
Nutrition
I like to mix this up to serve with a taco or burrito meal, or even serve taco fixings on a bed of lettuce and add a thinned out version of this. Make sure to always have homemade taco seasoning in your pantry so you can make this whenever the craving strikes.

This dip is so simple, yet amazing! My teenage boys have mixed this up a few times for tacos or corn chips. YUM!
