Once you've mastered working with sourdough you'll find you're wondering what other recipes you can try with it now? Here are my tried & true favorite sourdough recipes!
Made just as directed (and checking with you on insta). Came out absolutely perfect!! Perfect amount of chew too.
I am so glad to hear!!
Can you freeze this dough? I made it and it rose very quickly over night and I'll have no ingredients for my pizza until this evening... :s
if i'm using this for pizzza dough, do i prebake dough at all before the toppings? or is that not necessary?
No, not necessary.
I've made this three times in a week. And even with having to split into smaller pans because my oven is a !toaster oven¡, I'm still getting fabulous results. Used it for sandwiches, split pieces for sandwiches and then made pizzas with them. (I didn't get the dough thin enough before baking.)
The complete ease of making and throwing in a bowl and leaving covered for up to 24 hours is great.
Mixing this up now for pizza tonight! I'm so proud that I revived my sourdough starter from the fridge where it sat for a couple weeks!
Hi Kate, when it says "starter" does that mean fed or unfed? Or is that discard? Clearly, I'm new to this 🙂
Fed within the last 24-36 hrs is sufficient
Thank you for this easy and very tasty recipe!!! This has now been officially declared by my daughter as her fave bread (she’s turning 20 tomorrow and I’m preparing this for the simple bday dinner we’ll have for her)
This is an amazing recipe! We make it often. Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this! Love that!
Love using this recipe for pizza nights with friends and family. I make a triple batch of this recipe and ask friends to bring their own toppings - makes for an easy and yummy potlock style gathering!
7 words - top with everything but the bagel seasoning. Wowww. Also great for making your own pizza!
I just made this last night to go with my supper. I topped with herbs de Provence seasoning...so good!
I’ve made as a side for soup and as a pizza dough. Both are great!
If i could only ever make one sourdough recipe, THIS would be it. So versatile- buns, bread or pizza crust...i try to keep a batch in the fridge so i can utilize it however suits us best. Knowing i can thaw soup and bake focaccia at a moments notice is a great plan b!
This is my favorite foccacia recipe so far. I’ve also used it for pizza. I love adding rosemary, thyme, anything savory. Yum!
KATES BIG SISTER
the timeline is super flexible on sourdough foccacia/ pizza dough so i prefer it over our old family standby - the rebar foccacia. The sourdough now far surpasses it with texture and tenderness too. we like thin crust so we do about 3 pizzas per recipe.
My oldest's favorite!! He literally asks about this focaccia all the time. The kid grew up with birthday dinners at souplantation and says this is waaaay better than theirs ?
It makes friday pizza nights easy peasy! Thanks girl!
Loved this recipe! It made great pizza dough!
I used this as pizza dough, added Italian seasoning and rosemary. It was the best homemade pizza I have made!
sounds so good!!
Super simple and my family loves this as foccaccia or pizza dough.
Amazing recipe. Making it for the second time tonight!
I turned this recipe into a fresh ground spelt boule bread with the help of a couple of stretch and folds. It was very tasty! This recipe is straightforward and versatile.
