Kabobs are a great summer party food because you can walk, talk, and eat! Grilled veggies and venison are perfectly marinated and grilled.

We love to host, so making up skewers for everyone to enjoy is just the ticket. Kids can help spear them and learn about patterns. Feel free to switch out the seasoning as you like, and serve them up with your favourite potato or pasta salad and a big jar of Honey Sweetened Lemonade.
Not ready for wild game? Chicken Skewers might be more your speed. Honestly, everything is great on a stick! Just keep in mind the cooking times for each item and size them accordingly. Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake would be the perfect dessert!
Key Ingredients

Venison - Whatever parts you have from butchering up your deer - just cut them in bite-sized pieces.
Veggies - We love mushrooms, peppers, and onions, but you can also add zucchini or whatever other veggies are ready in the garden.
Seasoning - Just some basics here, which you can alter to your taste.
How to Make Grilled Venison Kebabs
***See recipe card below for precise measurements and instructions.***

Step 1: If using bamboo skewers, get them soaking in water while you prep.
Step 2: Chop everything into even pieces and toss in a bowl.

Step 3: Toss with seasoning and add to skewers.
Step 4: Grill until meat is done and veggies start to soften.
FAQs
If you are going to make kabobs or skewers often enough, AND you are mostly eating at home, go ahead and invest in some metal ones. These are great because you won't burn them, though it is a bit trickier to serve as they stay hot. Otherwise, use bamboo skewers and soak them in water ahead of time. They can easily be held once the food is cooked, and won't be as dangerous when left underfoot outside!
Of course! We went with a basic season mix here to allow the venison to shine. But you can use beef or chicken and swap in Homemade Ranch Seasoning or even Taco Seasoning to really switch things up. Make several sets of kabobs for a party for everyone to have something the enjoy.
