Cocoa Almonds are a simple and tasty real food snack made with natural sweetener. Your family will gobble them up! As with most recipes that become staples in our house, I found the recipe for Cocoa Almonds in a cookbook... But then I decided there were unnecessary steps and ingredients in the recipe. I knew I could streamline it to make simpler. Because the only way real food happens daily in our house is if it's simple! This recipe is equally if not more so amazing if you want to splurge and substitute hazelnuts for the almonds!

This was so good the second time around considering I made them with salted nuts first time. Going to try it on hazelnuts today

How long will these last on the shelf? Weeks? Months? Would they last longer if vacuum sealed?

Yes, they would last longer is vacuum sealed, but should last months in a mason jar.

These are great! I added a little powder sugar for extra sweetness ?

Love these! Deep dark chocolate taste. After making them once, I personally found them too salty and so for the next batch I reduced the salt to 1/2 tsp. That worked for me. Also since ovens vary, I found that mine had the almonds nicely roasted after only 10-15 minutes rather than a total of 30.

It's great when it's easy to modify a recipe to your own personal tastes.

How would I do this with pre-roasted almonds? Is it possible?
[email protected]
You could do it but you'd have to be careful you didn't over cooke them.
