Avoid the fried mess and bake your own taco bowls from tortillas. Let everyone fill them up with meat and toppings for weeknight dinner.

Everyone loves tacos! It's a great way to allow everyone to eat their preferred toppings. Kids can also easily help brown the meat and stir the beans, getting them involved in the kitchen.
I also like to whip up Taco Dip to either serve on top or on the side. I always have a jar of Homemade Taco Seasoning in the pantry ready to go for taco nights, and it's perfect for these taco bowls.
Key Ingredients

Beef - Ground beef or any other meat works here. Something familiar like tacos is a great meal to use to introduce wild game to your family. Season it up well!
Taco shells - Did you know you can bake tortillas into a bowl shape? It'll feel like a fancy restaurant meal.
Beans - I like refried beans as it's a great base in your bowl and grabs onto your toppings. But regular beans work well, too.
Toppings - Go wild! Let everyone add their favourites like cheese, avocado, tomatoes, and sour cream.

FAQs
It's super easy to do this, and no vat of oil needed! You can buy specialty molds (or go thrifting) or simply look around your cabinets. Any metal or glass oven-safe bowl is perfect. You can also use smaller tortillas and experiment with a muffin tin, both the right way and upside down. You just need a vehicle for the tasty filling!
I don't believe in hiding food or tricking people, whether it's family or guests. While our family consumes a lot of raw dairy and wild game, I know not everyone likes to or is used to it. But a familiar meal of tacos, with strong seasoning, is a great way to hide a bit of gamey taste. You can tell everyone you are using wild game and they just might be surprised at what they think of it!
