Whip up honey-sweetened iced tea with lemon and you'll always have a drink in hand this summer. It's easy and delicious for the whole family.

Nothing beats a tall glass of sweet tea when you're out in the sunshine! Yes, some will argue honey isn't the same taste as your traditional sweet tea, but we love it. When Marius worked outside the home he would often take the entire 2 quart jar with him! Perfect to quench your thirst working hard all day.
This is truly customizable. I recommend trying it as written and then you can play around with tea bags and tastes. This is also a great one for kids to practice their pouring skills, because you don't need to use boiling water with a longer steeping time.
Try out my Honey Iced Tea which utilizes flavoured tea bags, or Blueberry Iced Tea sweetened with fruit juice. Feeling under the weather as sometimes happens in the heat? Green Tea Elixir will be a great perk-you-up option.

FAQs
We aren't being technical here - we are doing a long steep, 10-15 minutes, so you can more compare this to sun tea or cold brew tea. This means we often use just water from the tap, no need to actually bring water to a boil. This means you can enjoy this on a whim, and also that kids can assist without the risk of burns.
I love this method of using a half gallon glass jar, because you can steep, store, and pour all in one vessel! Since we aren't using boiling water and then aren't adding ice, there is no risk of temperature shock to break the glass. Plus you can screw the lid on the jar over the tea bag strings so you don't lose them and have an easy time fishing them out. I have no trouble pouring straight from a jar, but you can always look for pouring lids if you like, or transfer to an actual pitcher.
