After years of making my Classic DIY Baileys Recipe, I'm excited to share this Irish Coffe Creamer recipe that is free of refined sugar, and boasting the depth of maple syrup. I hope you'll try it soon!
Maple Syrup Sweetened Irish Coffee Creamer
Made without refined sugars, here's a healthier twist on my Classic DIY Bailey's Irish Coffee Creamer recipe thanks to maple syrup.
- ¾ cup half and half cream use raw/unpasteurized if possible
- ¾ cup Irish whiskey Jameson's is a common brand
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cooa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Measure everything into a quart jar and give it a good shake.
- If you find the cocoa isnt shaking in well, use an immersion/stick blender or throw it in your blender on low speed.
- Store in the fridge, the cocoa may settle but just give it a good shake before using.

What is the shelf life.?
The alcohol helps preserve it, but also depends if you use fresh raw cream or pasteurized cream. When I make to gift I use storebought pasteurized cream and find the shelf life 2-3 weeks. I have another version which uses sweetened condensed milk and it has a longer shelf life due to more sugar.
Love this treat especially on cold winter nights!
This has become a staple Christmas holiday tradition in our house! So easy to make and a fun treat for us and guests! We like it better than the store bought version!
I make this every year at the beginning of December. It’s delicious and I often end up gifting it to friends or family I need a small gift for!
LOVE THIS RECIPE. I make it every year for Christmas and give it as a gift. So much cheaper to make yourself.
Made this recipe for myself and to give out as Christmas gifts!
Christmas idea ?
This is happy in a cup! You can make it vegan by mixing equal parts of coconut cream and a plant based milk.
What a delicious treat - and so simple that I had everything on hand already!
made several batches of this for holiday gifts this year and everyone loved it, some even asked for more.
