The alcohol helps preserve it, but also depends if you use fresh raw cream or pasteurized cream. When I make to gift I use storebought pasteurized cream and find the shelf life 2-3 weeks. I have another version which uses sweetened condensed milk and it has a longer shelf life due to more sugar.

I make this every year at the beginning of December. It’s delicious and I often end up gifting it to friends or family I need a small gift for!

LOVE THIS RECIPE. I make it every year for Christmas and give it as a gift. So much cheaper to make yourself.

This is happy in a cup! You can make it vegan by mixing equal parts of coconut cream and a plant based milk.
